Non-Archival Papers

Deadline: May 12, 2025, Anywhere on Earth (AoE)

The title, author list, and abstract of accepted non-archival papers will appear in the proceedings and on the conference website.

Please log in to HotCRP, go to your submission, and update the abstract if needed. If you want to make reasonably small changes to the title or the author order, email the Proceedings Chairs (proceedings@facctconference.org). The Proceedings Chairs will make the changes in HotCRP. Adding or removing authors is not permitted under any circumstances.

(Optional) If there is a link you want to be hosted on the conference website (e.g., link to the full paper), email it to the Proceedings Chairs.

Archival Papers

Deadline: May 12, 2025, Anywhere on Earth (AoE)

Please carefully read the below instructions and start the camera-ready process early as the TAPS process may take a while (sometimes up to weeks)!

0. Notify the Proceedings Chairs if there are changes to the paper metadata

In general, we do not recommend changing the paper metadata as this can slow down the camera-ready process. However, if you deem necessary, you may change the paper title (as long as the paper content is not changing) or reorder authors. Adding or removing authors is not permitted under any circumstances.

To change the paper metadata, email the Proceedings Chairs (proceedings@facctconference.org) by May 5, 2025 AoE. The Proceedings Chairs will manually change the paper metadata in HotCRP and re-generate the ACM eRights form.

1. Complete the ACM eRights form

The corresponding author should have received an email from ACM (rightsreview@acm.org) to fill out the eRights form; a link is also available on your submission page on HotCRP if you are in “edit submission” mode. All authors need to have an ORCID ID to fill out the eRights form. The form will explain how to create one if you don’t already have one.

(Note: If your university has an open-access agreement with ACM, ensure that the corresponding author in the eRights form is the one with the relevant university affiliation with this agreement. The eRights form will then detect this and give you further information. This author will be the one emailed about uploading the final version of the paper so please make sure they have access to this email. To change the corresponding author, email the Proceedings Chairs (proceedings@facctconference.org).)

Upon completing the eRights form, the corresponding author will receive a confirmation email from ACM (rightsreview@acm.org). The confirmation email will contain the ACM copyright-permission block text, publication info, conference date/location, and DOI string/URL specific to your paper. Follow the instructions in the email to add this information to your paper.

Upon completing the eRights form, the corresponding author will also receive an email from TAPS (tapsadmin@aptaracorp.awsapps.com) within 24 hours. This email will contain instructions and the link for uploading the paper materials. See #3 for more information about the TAPS process.

2. Prepare your camera-ready paper

Please carefully read the following instructions to prepare your camera-ready paper. They contain detailed information about Citations and References, CSS Concepts and Keywords, Acknowledgments, Appendices, and other aspects of the paper.

Paper format

  • Following ACM's guidance, LaTeX users should submit their camera-ready papers in two-column format, using the header \documentclass[sigconf]{acmart}. Note that this is different from the single-column format required at submission time!
  • Word users should submit in single-column format using the template available at the above link. Once you have submitted your paper, ACM will convert it to the two-column format for publication.

Paper length

  • Using ACM's two-column format, it is possible to include substantially more material in a page than it is using the single-column format. For this reason, LaTeX users submitting in two-column format must limit the main body of their paper to 10 pages (including all figures and tables) while Word users submitting in single-column format must limit the main body of their paper to 15 pages.
  • In both cases, there is no limit on the number of additional pages you may use for endmatter sections (as described in the author guide), references, and appendices.

3. Upload your paper materials to ACM TAPS

The camera-ready paper will be generated with the ACM Production System (TAPS). Please carefully read the following page to understand the TAPS workflow: https://authors.acm.org/proceedings/production-information/taps-production-workflow.

As mentioned in #1, upon completing the eRights form, the corresponding author will receive an email from TAPS (tapsadmin@aptaracorp.awsapps.com) within 24 hours. Follow the instructions in the email to submit your paper materials to TAPS.

Once TAPS processes the submitted materials, the corresponding author will receive an email about the paper status.

If the email says "Alert--Paper Submission Error: please resubmit": Review the TAPS error log, fix your paper materials, and resubmit. You may have to repeat this process many times, so please budget sufficient time for the TAPS process (at least a week is recommended). If you have issues resolving the errors, reach out to the TAPS Support Team (reply directly or email acmtexsupport@aptaracorp.com) for 24/7 technical support. They are better equipped to assist you with paper processing than the Proceedings Chairs.

If the email says "PDF and HTML Proofs: available for review": Follow the links to access the TAPS-generated PDF and HTML proofs. Carefully review the files for rendering issues or missing content. If needed, revise the paper files, recreate the ZIP file, and resubmit to TAPS. If you are happy with the TAPS-generated PDF and HTML proofs, approve them. Once you approve the proofs on TAPS, upload the TAPS-generated PDF to your submission HotCRP. After that, the camera-ready process is complete!

Please do your best to complete the camera-ready process by May 12, 2025, Anywhere on Earth (AoE). If you have submitted your camera-ready material but, despite your efforts, your TAPS-generated proofs are not available by this deadline, please do not worry. The Proceedings Chairs will work with you to get your paper across the finish line!
