Non-Archival Papers

  • Round 1: April 24, 2026, Anywhere on Earth (AoE)
  • Round 2: May 11, 2026, Anywhere on Earth (AoE)

Knowing which round your submission belongs to:

  • Round 1: If your paper received an acceptance notification around March 2nd, 2026.
  • Round 2: If your paper received a revise and resubmit notification first, and a final notification of acceptance around April 8th, 2026.

The title, author list, and abstract of accepted non-archival papers will appear in the proceedings and on the conference website.

Please log in to OpenReview, go to your submission (under "Your Active Consoles", select "ACM FAccT 2026 Conference Authors"), and update the abstract if needed. Importantly, adding authors is not permitted under any circumstances.

(Optional) If there is a link you want to be hosted on the conference website (e.g., link to the full paper or other materials, such as datasets or code for reproducibility), email it to the Proceedings Chairs (proceedings@facctconference.org).

Archival Papers

  • Round 1: April 24, 2026, Anywhere on Earth (AoE)
  • Round 2: May 11, 2026, Anywhere on Earth (AoE)

Knowing which round your submission belongs to:

  • Round 1: If your paper received an acceptance notification around March 2nd, 2026.
  • Round 2: If your paper received a revise and resubmit notification first, and a final notification of acceptance around April 8th, 2026.

Please carefully read the below instructions and start the camera-ready process early as possible to accommodate any potential formatting issues!

0. Notify the Proceedings Chairs if there are changes to the paper metadata

In general, we do not recommend changing the paper metadata as this can slow down the camera-ready process. However, if you deem necessary, you may change the paper title (as long as the paper content is not changing) or reorder authors. Adding authors is not permitted under any circumstances.

Important: If you do change the paper metadata, email the Proceedings Chairs (proceedings@facctconference.org) by April 10, 2026 (round 1) or May 4, 2026 (round 2) AoE. The Proceedings Chairs will re-generate the ACM eRights form.

1. Complete the ACM eRights form

The corresponding author should have received an email from ACM (rightsreview@acm.org) to fill out the eRights form. All authors need to have an ORCID ID to fill out the eRights form. The form will explain how to create one if you don’t already have one.

(Note: If your university has an open-access agreement with ACM, ensure that the corresponding author in the eRights form is the one with the relevant university affiliation with this agreement. The eRights form will then detect this and give you further information. This author will be the one emailed about uploading the final version of the paper so please make sure they have access to this email. To change the corresponding author, email the Proceedings Chairs (proceedings@facctconference.org).)

Upon completing the eRights form, the corresponding author will receive a confirmation email from ACM (rightsreview@acm.org). The confirmation email will contain the ACM copyright-permission block text, publication info, conference date/location, and DOI string/URL specific to your paper. Follow the instructions in the email to add this information to your paper.

2. Prepare your camera-ready paper

Please carefully read the following instructions to prepare your camera-ready paper. They contain detailed information about Citations and References, CSS Concepts and Keywords, Acknowledgments, Appendices, and other aspects of the paper.

If you are facing any technical difficulties (either LaTeX or Word), ACM's production vendor has 24/7 technical support available via e-mail to acmtexsupport@aptaracorp.com.

Paper format

  • LaTeX users should submit their camera-ready papers in single-column format, using the header \documentclass[acmlarge]{acmart}. Note that this is different from the originally communicated requirement of double-column submissions. We are opting to use the single-column format to simplify the process for the authors.
  • Word users should submit in single-column format using the ACM submission template available here: https://authors.acm.org/proceedings/production-information/preparing-your-article-with-microsoft-word

Paper length

The following instructions apply to both LaTeX and Word users:

  • Camera ready papers are given an extra page to address reviewer comments, so the length limit of the paper body is 15 pages.
  • There is no limit on the number of additional pages you may use for endmatter sections (Generative AI Usage Statement, Author Contributions, Acknowledgements, Competing Interests, Positionality Statement, Ethical Considerations Statement), references, and appendices.

3. Upload your paper materials to OpenReview

The camera-ready paper should be uploaded via OpenReview. Please complete the camera-ready process by April 24, 2026 (round 1), or May 11, 2026 (round 2), Anywhere on Earth (AoE). If you have submitted your camera-ready material but, despite your efforts, you’re facing a roadblock, please do not worry. The Proceedings Chairs will work with you to get your paper across the finish line!

Finally, make sure you follow the instructions below:

  • Include all appendices of the paper as part of the camera ready PDF file. There is NO camera-ready supplementary material of any kind.
  • Ensure you have signed the eRights form.
  • Register for the conference. Once registrations open, go to https://facctconference.org and under the 2026 dropdown on the top of the page, you will find “Attendance & Travel”, where you may select “Conference Registration”. At least one author must register.
