The organization of the ACM FAccT Conference is guided by two key documents: the Conference Bylaws and the Strategic Plan.

Conference Bylaws

The ACM FAccT Conference Bylaws describe the organization and policies of the conference. This includes key committees and their responsibilities; the processes for making major decisions; and major policies around sponsorship, fair reviewing of scholarly work, and the giving of awards. The Conference Bylaws are approved by the ACM FAccT Steering Committee and may be amended from time to time.

Strategic Plan

The ACM FAccT Strategic Plan lays out the high-level vision and goals of the conference. Rather than being a governance document, it is meant to help guide and sharpen the thinking of the ACM FAccT Executive and Steering Committees as they make decisions surrounding the conference. The Strategic Plan is aspirational, and is designed to be more fluid than the bylaws.
